Winter League Results 2005

Okoboji Game Farm’s winter league is over.  Eight scores of 5-stand were recorded for each of the teams.  Slightly after mid-point, all of the teams were tied.  Emerging as first place winners in this tight race were Don Bueltel and Bob Hess (pictured) both of Terril.  After a shoot-off for second place, Jim Hentges and Bill Huse both of Spirit Lake were declared second place finishers.  In the shoot-off round, Bill recorded a perfect score of 25.  Finishing third place were Steve Arnold of Spirit Lake and Doug Dodge of Milford.

Two summer leagues will be starting June 5th with one for 5-stand and one for the 50 clays walking course.  Participants may enter one or both.  The teams consist of two people in a handicapped league format much like golf.  To enter, stop out to Okoboji Game Farm which is three miles south of Milford and 5.5 miles east on A43 at 2757 260th Street or call 712-853-6378.  Okoboji game Farm is open for shooting every Sunday from 9 to 4 and also Tuesday evenings.  Hope to see you there.
