U of O Winter Games 07 Results

The University of Okoboji Winter Games Lewis Class Sporting Clay Tournament was held at Okoboji Game Farm January 27th and 28th.  Not only did the participants battle the variety of the clay targets, but they also battled brutal wind chills.  Despite the weather, the enthusiasm was contagious!  The participants shot one round of 5-stand with report pairs and the second round with true pairs.  Todd Lambertus of Milford won the tournament first division with a score of 42.  Mark Maschoff of Ceylon, MN captured second, while Tim Zinnel of Swea City won third place.  In the second division Tom Griffiths of Spirit Lake, Travis Klohs of Waukee, and Jon Zinnel of Swea City won first, second, and third place honors respectively.

The next event at Okoboji Game Farm will be the Country Vet Gundog Challenge March 17th and 18th.  There will be a pointer and a flusher division each day.  Keep watching the papers for more sporting clay shoots starting in the spring.
