Okoboji Game Farm held a Lewis class sporting clay tournament Sunday, August 6th.  The competition was tight as there were many ties in all classes.  Winner of the women’s division was Jacque Hentges of Okoboji.  Kyle Hamilton of Okoboji was the top shooter with a score of 47 out of 50.  Second place winner in first class was Tony Petersen of Spirit Lake.  Tied for third place in first class were Tony Petersen (2), Bob Johnson of Albert City, and Jim Hentges of Okoboji.  Second class winners all tied for first place.  They were Scott Zollman of LeMars, Brian Siemers of Lake Park, and Dave Klohs of LeMars.  Third class winners in order were Scott Zollman (2) of LeMars, Kyle Timmer of Okabena, MN, and Chris Kendall of Sioux Falls.  Congratulations to all of the winners. 

            The next event at Okoboji Game Farm is the Country Vet Gundog Challenge to be held September 23rd and 24th.  Each team consists of one dog, two hunters, ten shells, five pheasants, and twenty minutes.  There will be a pointer and a flusher division on both Saturday and Sunday.  The Challenge is limited to the first 40 entries by the September 18th deadline.  Entry forms and rules may be picked up at the Game Farm or printed from www.okobojigamefarm.com
