Tax Day Fun Shoot Results The second sporting clays fun shoot of the year was held at Okoboji Game Farm on Sunday April 13th. The Tax Day Fun Shoot had three Lewis classes with a 3 place pay back. The first three place winners were taxed to increase to the earnings of other placings in their class. In the first class, Nathan Sidles of Terril placed first. Second place honors went to Todd Lambertus of Milford, while third place went to Bob Hess of Terril.
In the second class Nick Bradley of Terril was the winner with Mel Berryhill of Milford taking second. Third place honors went to Bruce Bruns of Superior.
Jon Hjelm of Spencer won the third class. James Keylor of Alpha, Minnesota took second place honors with Sherman Scharnberg of Everly winning third place. Other money winners included Don Bueltel and Roger Doyle of Terril, Roger Gilbert of Spirit Lake, Steve Brauhn and Mark Tielbur of Sioux Rapids, and Damon Binder of Royal. The winners of the Black Bird Drawing were Bruce Bruns of Superior and Nick Bradley of Terril. For every black clay hit at the Springing Teal stand the person's name was entered into the drawing. The winners received Okoboji Game Farm apparel and buffalo patties. Okoboji Game Farm is gearing up for the summer league which starts June 1st, shoots every other Sunday, and finishes September 7th with a steak fry and awards.
