Fall Country Vet Gundog Challenge Results

The first “fall” Country Vet Gundog Challenge was held September 24, 2006 at Okoboji Game Farm.  There were both flusher and pointer divisions.  Competition was close in each division. 

Coming out on top in the flusher division was the team of Randy Cornwall of Spirit Lake and Mark Friesner of Estherville with Drake (pictured right).  Their score of 338.75 was garnered by finding, retrieving, and bagging all five pheasants in less than 20 minutes.  Second place team in the flusher division was Kyle and Ken Norris of Spencer with Jake with a score of 283 (pictured right). 

 First place team in the pointer division was Mel Berryhill of Milford and Terry Stammer of Spirit Lake with Jilly (pictured below left).  Jilly is used to the spotlight, as she earned the top score in Okoboji Game Farm’s “spring” pointer division.  Following closely for second was Brett Groen and Kyle Norris of Spencer with Gunher (pictured right).
